Positive Liaisons’ mission is to promote
harmony and understanding
by assisting to unravel the complexities of conflict
one person at a time.
Positive Liaisons provides mediation services to facilitate communication in order to resolve disputes. We help to negotiate between friends, neighbors, and acquaintances, in business and/or across lines of diversity, in order to help settle disputes peacefully.
In all cases, Positive Liaisons will strive for conflict resolution by encouraging cooperation between the disputants.
As an independent mediation service, Positive Liaisons is not affiliated with the court system. We do not provide attorneys, however an attorney of choice can be consulted if needed.

What defines a conflict?
A conflict arises where the parties (Frank and Bob in this case) have an issue they cannot agree on, and they can’t come to a reasonable conclusion.
Conflict resolution is where a third person (mediator) will assist the parties to focus on the problem, and look at underlying issues to address and sort out, so they can find a solution that works for both parties.
The example of Frank and Bob shows how underlying factors in a conflict are not always recognized. If these are uncovered and addressed, the chance of finding a workable solution is much higher.
Types of conflict
There are many types of conflict, and there are many ways to solve them, depending
on what the issues and underlying factors are. No two disputes are the same -
Finding peaceful conflict resolution
Mediation is a peaceful process that allows the parties to take an active role in finding their mutual best outcome. Even though this can be challenging, mediation can help to recognize pitfalls, and provide the tools to settle disputes in the future.
